Fletcher Smith Architects originated in 1962 as the Kevin Fletcher Partnership, in 1975 David Smith became a partner in the business changing the name to Kevin Fletcher Smith Partnership.

In 1996 Kevin Fletcher retired from the profession and the business was re‐branded as Fletcher Smith Architects and now trades as a private limited company.
 

The Office has always been based in Preston, Lancashire. The current offices are situated on the Preston Marina, motorway links using the M6 and M61 allow us to work on a national level.

Fletcher Smith Architects have won numerous awards in the residential and leisure sectors. We have vast experience in a number of sectors including commercial, industrial, residential, leisure, automotive and mixed use master planning.

More recently Fletcher Smith Architects has been specialising in the Commercial Automotive sector for over a decade with a number of key clients in the sector.

We are currently panel/brand architects for many car retailers such as Audi, VW, Mercedes, Vauxhall and Citroen. As well as working directly for large companies such as LSH, Inchcape, Lookers and Sytner on their many franchised dealerships.
